KAPA Looks for Next PA to Serve on KBML Advisory committee

27-May-10 20:52 | anonymous

I am writing to let you know about an opportunity to serve your PA profession in Kentucky.

My second term on the PA Advisory Committee (KBML PAAC) will be completed with the meeting May 6th.  I am an advocate of term limits on such committees and to be true to my convictions will not seek reappointment to the committee.  The KBML PAAC meets quarterly, the week before each meeting each member of the committee receives an agenda, a CD with all applications and an assignment to review a subset of the supervising physician applications for the upcoming meeting.  You are asked to evaluate the applications for completeness, appropriate scope of practice requests, etc. prior to the meeting then be prepared to raise any questions or concerns at the meeting or simply state all applications were in order and recommend either approval or denial to the KBML.

If you are interested in serving on the PA Advisory Committee to the KBML please email me at sgaskins55@gmail.com i

Thank you,

Steve Gaskins, PA-C, MPAS

PAAC Vice Chairman
